Guitar Hero World Tour guitar extension cord?

Hi I have a world tour wireless guitar (Xbox 360), and I want to make a fence (not can be bothered to change the batteries all the time! : P) and I just wanted to know if this cable would work. The main reason why I am asking this question is because I can not see the end in this installation of cable in cable slot on the guitar! Can anyone shed some light on whether this will work because it does not bother spend money on something that does not work.
