success grants kit

Has anyone been successful with government subsidies, without shelling out a fortune?
Recently I bought a "Getting Started Kit" I promised a grant of 90 days or my money back. ($ 24.95) So I sent a thoughtful letter to 100 different addresses from Florida to Hawaii. So far 26 letters have come back to me "Return to Sender" or "address unknown. Only two Foundations were kind enough to write again and tell me that their foundations have been dissolved for years! So basically the address list from this company sent me is false! I guess my question is is there legitimate organizations out there that do not take advantage of someone in need and actually do what they promise? Anybody out there ever successfully received a government grant? How did you do? How long does it take? Please leave your email address so you can keep in touch with you. Any information will be greatly appreciated. God Bless.
For sale listings of organizations that offer scholarships are alleged to have been the modus operandi of the scam artists for years. Memory that back in 1998 or 1999, the show 20/20 did a feature on this and bought a list and submit applications for grants to those on the list – just to get the same results that you did. These scammers prey on people's beliefs that some free money exists in a magical place ready and waiting to be adopted. But that is not how Fellowship of work – both private and federal grants based. Grants are for free, but it means OBLIGATION. You are required to do what the grant proposes to do. Grants have objectives, and its purpose must conform to the objectives of the grant. On the one hand, you have to write the grant application and grant application is not a simple document – you have to account for how your purpose for applying for the grant fits well with the objectives set by the concession. There is a rigorous review process through a committee. You compete with other candidates for the grant money, and this grant review committee will evaluate the merits of each proposal. Only those who feel an example of the objective of the grant is approved. The government and private foundations are not in the business of giving free money for the sake of giving away money. There are no grants for paying bills, no grants for paying your credit cards, no grants to get out of debt and not just grants to fatten your wallet. You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov http://www.cfda.gov – it is two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse the listings and see if you can find any grant to support its purposes. Even if you buy books on "how to get grants" or list that supposedly has information on scholarships – all of them are mere rehash of what CFDA has, but packaged differently. For private foundation, the most reliable source is the center of the foundation – which is a well respected organization in the field philanthropy. They have a foundation to aid people online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org. It is a subscription based website ($ 9.95 per month), but their propaganda said that only the opening of the database is ideal for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries, and financial aid offices."
